The sum of the first 100 natural numbers, 1 to 100 is divisible by
  1. 2, 4 and 8
  2. 2 and 4
  3. 2
  4. 100
  5. None of these
Correct Answer - 2 . Choice (3)

Explanatory Answer

The sum of the first 100 natural numbers is n(n+1)/2 .

101 is an odd number and 50 is divisible by 2.

Hence, 50*101 will be divisible by 2.

Correct answer choice (3)
