The question for the day is a trigonometry question.

Question:
What is the value of (1-CosA) / (1+CosA) given that tan A = ¾ ?
(1) 1/4
(2) 9/16
(3) 1/9
(4) 1/3
Correct choice (3). Correct Answer - (1/9)

Solution:

We know that tan A = Trigonometry - Heights and Distances.
Therefore, opposite side = 3, adjacent side = 4 and the hypotenuse =Trigonometry - Heights and Distances= 5.
Hence, cos A = Trigonometry - Heights and Distances
Therefore, Trigonometry - Heights and Distances
